Artist was Jessie Hemmons, aka Ishknits. She and Conrad Benner (before he became Streets Dept) waited in line like everyone else, then pulled out a ladder and went to town. The story was on the cover of The NY Times arts section.

They’re afraid of getting primaried and losing their jobs…Imagine all the federal workers who aren’t millionaires who’ve already lost theirs. They should put their fears in context.
