a few years ago I entered reaper's goodbye into the Really Very Cool indiepocalypse #46, got to do a little cover and comic for the game. the cover is based off oldskool 60's-70's garo magazine which had this iconic yellow bar. it was inspiration for the gekiga look as well as the stories.

I wax philosophical about osamu tezuka and yoshihiro tatsumi before getting murdered BECAUSE THIS IS A VERY DARK AND SPOOK COMIC!!!!!!!!!!!! BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!1

Rinoa Heartilly, Terra Branford and Zidane Tribal all decked out in really cute street clothes because Dissidia Duellum is happening. Do I think it will be good? Hell no. But unfortunately I am very weak to my favs in cute everyday clothes, so i'm resolving to suffer... I actually put an untold amount of hours into the PSP game, played Opera Omnia off and on through launch, and I am a bit of an NT apologist. Wait, i'm just blabbing on about final fantasy games. ANYWAYS!!! Terra is wearing 2010's Axes Femme inspired fit with a big sugary pink boba and a moogle backpack. Rinoa has a Liz Lisa doll look with a buncha Squall oshiikatsu. Somehow, I thought that kinda fit worked for her.... Zidane is a cool skater boy. He has a chocobo plush in his backpack and a sick skateboard because he is SO cool.

around christmas last year i nearly put out a love story about a girl and her goldfish, but for various reasons i shelved it.

there was a lot of crossover with the final fantasy legend of the crystals anime staff-wise, and you can really see it in the simplistic character designs + moebius-ish background (another sign of oyaji otakuism...)
this scene is so charming, it adds so much to dynamic of the characters.
