Start of an ivory wool scarf knit in Love Me Knot Lace scarf pattern by Eri Palmer. One ball of yarn has been used so far with the second ball just cast on. Two remaining balls are resting on the top right working edge of the project. The beginnings of Illustrated Couple knit sock done with Knitting for Olive merino wool in color Mushroom Rose. Pattern is by Lauren Rad, although the leg portion pictured here is much shorter than pattern. Heel flap is complete and ready to turn.

Knitted Kaizen cardigan project in beige/grey recycled cotton blend yarn. One sleeve is shown on the right side still on needles and features a unique pleated cuff. On the left, the rest of the sweater is folded with a ball of yarn on top. Ice blue knitted summer top is shown laying flat on a table covered with an ivory table cloth embellished with three rows of stylized vine embroidery. The top is almost complete, just waiting for recipient to try it on before finalizing length.

Made a cowl with the leftover angora from Alaska sweater. No pattern- the pine tree stitch uses multiples of 16 +1, plus I added 6 garter stitches on each end for buttons & buttonholes. It’s soooo airy & soft!

Back from a road trip that gave me lots of knitting time. I have several WIPs going, here are the two I took with me, details of each in alt. 🧶
Brown tweed raglan sweater progress: about 10 rows past splitting for sleeves of Alaska sweater. 🧶 Remix Light in color Patina 6933. There will be tree silhouettes done in delicate creamy white alpaca around the bottom of body and sleeves. Summer top with eyelet cap sleeves knit with Juniper Moon Farms Zooey in Mist. Not using a pattern, although design inspiration is drawn from Simple Summer Tank Top at OriginallyLovely.com. Flutter sleeves are modified version of the pleated cuffs from Kaizen cardigan by Universal Yarn in their Spring 2018 “In the Conservatory”collection. Need to attach right sleeve and then finish length.

Still debating on adding the French knots for berries, or maybe adding fresh water pearls to look like white Holly berries. This is my first all-over lace pattern and while it wasn’t hard, I did have to tink a fair amount for silly mistakes. Thanks for reading!

Sad trombone:
remaking cardigan sleeves because once I fastened them to the body and tried it on, they were too small. Nearly 4 hours spent deconstructing and now restarting. Stitch markers sum up my state of mind.

Pastries at Ondo in Ann Arbor then to Kerrytown Market for West Michigan blueberry balsamic at Fustini’s and yarn shopping at Spun (🧶 already cast on). Then happy hour at Maiz in Depot town,Ypsilanti- a family favorite from my daughter’s time at EMU.

While in Cass, we also ducked into Dussel’s Farm Market. Walked out with a huge Black Diamond watermelon, maple cinnamon rolls (omg, seriously 😋) beer cheese dip and bagel chips. They had white lilies and gorgeous sunflowers by the stem, $1 ea.
Black Diamond watermelon has very dark green skin and is known for being extra sweet.

Sharing the finished version of my mermaid socks. The 4th pair of socks I’ve knit this year/ever. I found the scallop stitch on YouTube and improvised based on sock patterns by Lauren @abeeinthebonnet.bsky.social
Mermaid socks knit from mystery wool yarn in shades of blue and green with navy blue cuffs, heels, and toes. Model is wearing the socks with light colored jeans. Currently knitting the pleats in the cuff of Kaizen cardigan by slipping stitches onto dpns and then knitting one from each needle together. It’s a little fiddly, but seems to be working.
