Let’s pretend I wrote something clever here.
4 WIPs currently on needles for #showmeyourknits
1) Kaizen cardigan, set aside because I’m going to have to do some major tweaking of shoulders to get a good fit
2) summer top for my daughter, waiting for her to visit and try it on before finishing length

Made a cowl with the leftover angora from Alaska sweater. No pattern- the pine tree stitch uses multiples of 16 +1, plus I added 6 garter stitches on each end for buttons & buttonholes. It’s soooo airy & soft!

Finished!
This is going to be my not-ugly Christmas sweater. My first attempt at color work, so I’ve included a picture of floats, I think they’re ok?
🧶 Since I have some of the angora left, I’m going to make a simple cowl to wear with it. Already cast on, it’s dreamy soft. #wipwednesday #knitsky

Sad trombone:
remaking cardigan sleeves because once I fastened them to the body and tried it on, they were too small. Nearly 4 hours spent deconstructing and now restarting. Stitch markers sum up my state of mind.

Currently knitting the pleats in the cuff of Kaizen cardigan by slipping stitches onto dpns and then knitting one from each needle together. It’s a little fiddly, but seems to be working.

Progress post:
Summer Lotus in purple mohair has become my evening project, while the cardigan I posted yesterday is what I work on in the mornings with my coffee. One arm left, plus binding off the bottom once I’m sure of length.

Newest knitting project is Kaizen cardigan, a pattern found at Universal Yarn. I was unable to get the cotton/linen blend 🧶 recommended, so I’m using Salvage 95% cotton by Knit Picks in color Less is More.
Enjoying the pattern so far, have the back and left side done, working on right side now.

In need of landscaping suggestions. I have a steep, dirt slope (recent excavation) in need of a plan. No budget atm for hardscape- no steps, waterfalls, etc. Dense clay soil, shade. I think zone 5, Southwest Michigan. If you have a pretty, shady hill, pls post pics!
