From responding weather to earthquake to tsunami hazards, we are now much less prepared today than we were yesterday with these cuts.
Potential Tropical Cyclone advisories began in 2017 (1st issued became Tropical Storm Bret that impacted T&T!) for disturbances that are not yet tropical cyclones BUT pose the threat of bringing tropical storm or hurricane conditions to land areas within 48 hours (and in 2025, within 72 hours).
