I remember it being a new season every year for a long while until the London summer Olympics screwed things up and the pacing has never recovered since. There was a 9 year break from 8th to 9th doctor-could be the reset the show needs, honestly.

Doctor Who has been spinning its wheels the past god knows how many years, I'd appreciate if they took a break. RTD did not impress me these past seasons and I can't rely on past doctors to get me excited about the franchise.
