I still have space this spring and summer for events, and I’d really love to draw in more of this energy, the healing kind, the kind we are all seeking together right now.

So if you know of a place, Lean in with me. Let’s create sacred spaces together because god knows we need them right now.

In a very real way, I feel this reciprocity with my books, my journey, every retreat I lead or keynote lecture I give or group of college students I spend time with. The journey is reciprocal, we are drawn to each other.

It’s hard work, constantly trying new things, attempting to understand algorithms without losing our humanity along the way. At the end of the day, I want to connect with and inspire people, that’s why I’m here doing this.

And Living Resistance came out last year, and this book was a balm to write. It gave me hope, reminded me of the universal power of love and kinship. ♥️

Then I wrote Native in 2020, the most difficult to write, reckoning with my upbringing in the southern Baptist church and what it means to be Potawatomi in America. Some of my favorite poetry I’ve written is in this book.

First Glory Happening, out in 2017. I was expanding in my spiritual thinking so much when I wrote this. Our kids were babies, we lived in a tiny apartment in Atlanta, and I was soaking up the small, everyday gifts of the universe. I’ll always appreciate that season.
