I learned that the first two seasons are based on just the first book in the series.

I’m thinking of picking up the first book now so I can stay in the story while we wait for the next season.

Error reporting can be difficult to manage but instantly the best feature any language could have when done well

Tools, not rules--and you don't get better at using a tool by leaving it in the box all the time.

Genius not needed. Not desirable, in fact, fuck the idea of genius. Just write the thing you want as well as you can, then do it again and try to be better at it. Lather, rinse, repeat.

One of the cool things about the GPIO pins on the raspberry pi is that they’re file based, which means you can use PHP to control and access your hardware 👀

I built simple sensors for my apartment one year this way that fed data to a centralized API using Laravel.

YouTube for the variety and short content.

Little commitment and no guilt if I don't feel like watching something and turning it off as opposed to committing to a full episode or movie of something.

It only took ruining a game by scratching it too much for me to learn the value of taking care of my discs as a kid 💀

Happy to see the Wii still getting some love! I listen to the shop theme while working all the time

iTalki is also another great option for finding consistent 1:1 language tutoring. Can filter by certified teachers and most offer free or really cheap 30-minute trial lessons to help you find the right fit.

Sounds daunting at first but I also recommend full immersion lessons in your target language
