The world is heavy right now. But also? Things are growing. Every phase of my life has been punctuated by U.S military involvement in the Middle East…along with plenty of domestic crises. Learning to live and experience joy while also caring about the chaos and sadness is what my generation does.

The world may be full of upheaval, but I found joy today at a used book sale. I’m slowly building my collection of books I loved as a kid.

Despite my evangelical upbringing, I never learned the domestic arts. Now I’m learning to sew…and of course I chose something difficult like making a stuffed doll as my first project. 😂
