"burdened by a preponderance of manifold profundity" | "this baby runs on inertia & I'm still in motion"
I disagree with that example, not that ME2 isn't better than ME1 but that they're basically two different games. ME2 isn't a refinement of the systems in ME1, it hardly carries any systems over

And this beacon was supposedly seen lightyears away, instantaneously. Which is absurd.

Though a subspace waveform was mentioned, so... ::handwave::

That's (very very) roughly 1% as intense as a nuclear explosion, as seen 50km away (I think, caveats abound), but the Beacon was close enough to Shenzhou for Burnham to pilot a thruster back there in 5min.

Should've blinded them all.

Pizza Hut was so much better, but even that is pretty trash

Having said that, I *like* that Disco is unique. It's not one of my top tier favs, but it's still easily in the upper half. I was saddened when it finished its run & I find that I genuinely miss what it ended becoming. Well, hopefully Academy fills that void.

But in the meantime I will continue...

There are moments where the typical Trek tone shines, particularly in the first episode, and Burnham's conversations with Tilly and Saru. But everything to do with the Klingons, Lorca and Stamets is bleak and hostile.

Tone, on the other hand, is pretty inconsistent (based solely on the 3 episodes I've rewatched). It's a lot darker than prior Treks usually got, that generally fits with the whole Klingon War (DS9's Dominion War got pretty dark too), and the captain of Discovery being a Mirror Universe fascist goon.

Ah, I should've recognised him, I've seen him in behind the scenes content

Usually I'd agree with Captain Freeman; "“I hate it when a ship gets repaired [or in this case a successor class] and comes out looking all-Sovereign-class.”

But in case an exception must be made because the Lamarr Class Voyager-A is stunningly gorgeous!

Who is the guy 2nd from the left? I recognise everyone else

I'm in the 10%; I'm only on the other side of the continent

I also wanna do HEMA for largely the same reasons

Even so... When I read the Bible it felt like Yahweh/Jehovah's followers did nothing else but razing cities and conducting genocides. You'd think they'd have wiped the Arabian Peninsula of all human life but their own and their lordly approved slaves...

27 million seems like a low estimate
