On Friday, July 11th, the Canadian regiment, Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians), based in Edmonton,AB took over duties as the King's Life Guard. The Life Guard is a 400 year old tradition and this is the first time it’s ever been performed by a non-UK regiment.
