Big public gardens - taken care of, but not overdone. The UK really is a gardening superpower.

In 2019 we took a group of young Russians to the UK. We pretended that Boris Johnson did not exist; but we arranged meetings at BBC, FT, with academics, charities/NGOs; visited a Labor-led municipal council (working under Tory government.) “Sad,” said a Ru guest - referring to comparison with Russia

The whole hiking ecosystem: landscapes, hiking paths, public right of way, campsites, the fact that wild camping, if done discreetly, tends to be tolerated even where not explicitly permitted. Ordnance survey maps are superb.
