This job has its problems, but I will forever stand by my mantra now that ANYTHING is better than a restaurant job. Restaurants want you cheap and they want you stuck, and they will beat you down if you dare to have any ambitions outside of it.

Makes me think even more back to my previous jobs, one of which had an asst manager who actually developed a weird condescending complex about it when I said I wanted to design games. (And he was a gamer, which made his attitude about it WEIRDER.)

at my job, we have a bag of bell peppers (3 green and 1 of another color) that costs 3.99. a single bell pepper is 1.99.
likewise, we have watermelon wedges that are like $6 for about 1/4th of a watermelon. whole watermelons are also $6.
tldr neopets labor accounts for that added bit of cost.
