I don't think so. 1st, I don't know of any citizen or militia that stands a chance against the US military. If the despot is the Commander in Chief, then citizens owning weapons, even powerful weapons, are at a rather large disadvantage. 2nd, despots can control through economics, not just violence.

I'd like to propose that the most corrupt 10% of billionaires, as determined by their employees, be imprisoned every year and the entirety of their wealth distributed to their employees at a rate inversely proportional to their wages and benefits.

It's exactly what he said he would do, out loud. At what point are people going to realize that he means the crazy stuff he says? He hasn't been subtle about it: Dictator on day 1. White nationalist militias are his personal army. He has no regard for the law other than as a tool to get his way.

I'm imagining the 5 year old who switches from kicking my seat to reclining my seat. The real answer is for airlines to provide enough seat pace for real human beings who are a standard deviation above the mean in height and/or width.

It does for taller people whose knees are already up to their necks on the short seats. Or for people who are using the tray table to work using their laptops. It can cause drinks to spill upon recline. In general, it's polite to ask the folks behind you, or at least give them a warning.

Loving democracy isn't the same as liking outcomes. I dislike 47's plans for democracy, but the vote must be respected. It was a free and fair election, as always.
