When I saw the video (linked in the article) what struck me is the irony of a proposing a gold statue intended to be worshiped in the land of Exodus. Surely this is today's golden calf. That story did not end well for the idol's worshippers.

I caught myself wondering whether reposting this opinion piece from al-Jazeera might be used to claim I am supporting terrorists and carry real-life consequences. I am not sure whether people are capable of quitting war. The world has invested a lot into the ability to have the biggest and best wars possible. Economies and identities depend on war.

But like the prospectus warns, markets change. Different results are possible.
