Kudos to my husband @markcooperjr.bsky.social who, on top of writing the daily @theathletic.com Sports Connections puzzles, wrote/edited 32 (32!) puzzles to kick off the NFL season.

They're hard! And there's a contest you can enter to make your own board with Mark!

From @theathletic.com: A memecoin — Green Dildo Coin — and it's community are responsible for some of the disruptions at WNBA games.
The group's coin was created the day before the first incident, and as of Thursday, its worth had nearly tripled in one week.

Is the @wnba.com commissioner trying to intervene in the sale of the Connecticut Sun? It seems like it, based on reporting from @frontofficesports.bsky.social.

I wrote about the hints dropped. It seems the WNBA wants a team in Houston before Boston.

🏀 What's up with the sale of the WNBA's Connecticut Sun?
Commissioner Cathy Engelbert seems to be dropping hints that she'd prefer the Sun move to Houston, not Boston.

This week ESPN launched a new feature on its app — an option to get real-time alerts from news breakers like Schefter, Shams, and Passan.

It makes incredible sense from ESPN’s perspective to eliminate the middleman (in this case, Twitter) and keep fans on their app. I love it. And it’s fast!

Will the @nwslsoccer.com's BOS Nation be ready to play in 2026? According to court documents, maybe not.

Lawsuits brought against the project to rebuild White Stadium are slowing down the process considerably.

Backup plan is Boston University's Nickerson Field. www.bostonglobe.com/2024/12/10/s...
