None of this is about supporting working families. Working families are having their resources stripped every day. You capitulated to facists. Period.

Thank you for not capitulating to the dismantling of our social safety nets. I hope you will share with your colleagues who did vote with republicans, that those of us who voted for democrats feel betrayed.

Let’s not forget the people who make the most impact in our local communities. They are our lifeline now, and they need our support!

There are many donation requests from politicians and political PACs. But, we need to support our local public libraries, local public radio (NPR) and broadcasting stations (PBS), and organizations trying to protect civil rights such as the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, local refugee assistance groups…

Here’s the lesson I learned (or relearned). In times like these, access to information will be tampered with. We need our libraries and librarians and reliable media to help us navigate through barriers of information retrieval.
