When you haven't used your professional skill set in a while and the wife needs a birthday cake.

When you take your wife to York for her birthday and end up buying books for yourself as they only came to £26.

So to expand upon the consumption of meat, we're talking about 120 people in a bishops retinue in the Carolingian France.
If we translate to that to an English formate we see it being the equivalent of drawing supplies from 200 hides.
