I've been making mini newspapers at events like Public Lab Barnraisings and DS4SI's Social Emergency Response Centers for years, but learning about these earlier inspirations from the Gwangju Uprising has been personally very moving and has brought new meaning to this work. ♥️✊🏼

At the time, newspapers couldn't or wouldn't tell the story of their popular citywide uprising, or of the brutal killing of protesters by the us-backed dictatorship. So students and others began publishing a one page newspaper called 투사회보 Tusahoebo, or the Fighters Bulletin.

I remember him recounting a bunch of Sicario plot points in a 1st term speech about immigration as if it were a documentary, so unfortunately it's honestly possible they got this idea from the movie too but didn't watch til the end?
