A rabies-positive bat was found near Washington Park Arboretum.

Two unknown people gave the bat water before it was tested. They need to seek treatment for exposure to rabies.

Before he crossed the rainbow bridge, my other best buddy was the ultimate lap cat. I regularly spent hours every evening buried under both little dudes.

Took some time to reset with the family on an escape up north in neighboring and neighborly Canada this past week.
Several stems of mature dandelion flowers bend in strong winds while the rocky coast of Nova Scotia and the Atlantic Ocean are visible in the background. Erosion smoothed rocks reflect warmth on a sunny day at Peggy’s Cove in Nova Scotia. The Louisbourg lighthouse in Nova Scotia stands alone atop its rocky perch on a foggy day. The Harbour Mist fishing tour boat is visible in the still waters of Peggy’s Cove on a bright and sunny day in Nova Scotia.
