I used to do things on the internet. Now I mostly watch other people do them instead.
2. Arknights Endfield

I’m…probably not the target audience for this one. I love the character designs but the gameplay loop just does nothing for me. Add on top that it’s a gacha and it’s probably best I just move on. May play every once in a while but won’t be long term.

1. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

This was one I’d been wanting to play for years, but could never get the motivation to emulate it. Easily one of the best in the series, and I’ve played all the western releases except its sequel Radiant Dawn. Which…yeah I have to emulate that now don’t I?

May have overdone it a bit last year…just a bit…

I’m a few hours into Donkey Kong Bananza and just…wow. It’s a spiritual successor to Mario Odyssey while still being its own thing and it’s just…so fun! Can’t wait to play more tomorrow!

Ive now beaten the main story to Xenoblade Chronicles DE. I had fun, my main concern going in was combat didn’t look interesting but I was proven wrong almost immediately. The side quests though…boy what were they thinking with those? Way too many and not nearly enough incentive to do em.

I have not uploaded something to YouTube in like, 5 years. Was not aware the YouTube studio now has a section where an AI brainstorms video ideas for your channel and creates thumbnails. Like what the hell is this shit!?

I was slow to the start on Dandadan and didn’t watch it while it was airing. But I found a bit of time this week to binge it and…yeah it’s real good! Great action, visuals, and even the budding romance between Ayase and Okarun is surprisingly well done for a Shonen Jump series. Would recommend!

That was fun. Did a Ghost Type mono run in Sword and got to use some Pokemon I’ve never really used before. Was also surprisingly challenging with all the dark types via Team Yell.

Invalid Handle? Is @bsky.app just glitching out right now? Or did I do something that got my account deleted?

Another game I’ve played from this year was Fields of Mistria. It’s still in early access…but it’s so polished with so much to do that it practically feels like a full release. I’m not quite done with my first year yet, but I’m excited to see how the game grows from here.

Fates: Birthright was my introduction to Fire Emblem. I played on Casual and my units were horribly optimized, but I had a lot of fun and it got me to try the other games in the series. Ironically, Fates is likely my least favorite of the games now, but I do respect it for setting me down this path.

So here’s a fun fact. I got into the Trails series by Falcon this year. Started with Trails in the Sky FC back in June and am currently working through Reverie now. It’s been such a joy getting to experience this series and I’d gladly recommend it to any who are on the fence about it.

Another game I’ve played this year, and this is the one I put the most time into. It only took about 15 hours to beat the campaign, but the post game missions expanded my playtime to over 200 hours total. Still haven’t finished building all the characters actually.

Still think my game of the year so far is Unicorn Overlord. It’s not the game I’ve put the most hours into this year…but it is the one I want to replay the most.
