Macron urges a new European military coalition as an alternative to NATO to help combat Russia and other threats. "We can't rely on (the US) or rest of the world."

The plan is to create a European army with France, UK, Italy, Poland, Baltic states and everyone who seeks to join.

NATO has endorsed sending Ukraine all the means, including medium-range missiles, "to defend itself and deter further aggression." This is stated in a resolution (494) which was adopted by the Plenary Assembly.
