There has never been a 100-win season by any club calling Milwaukee home in MLB history. The Braves won only 95 in their championship season of 1957 (over 155 games), which was just a shade under the equivalent of 100 wins over 162 games.

Six more wins would not only clinch the NL Central outright, and guarantee the Brewers home field for the NL post season (and likely the World Series as well), but it would also mean 100 wins on the year.

6 - There is one more thing that the Brewers are targeting - something historic if it should happen. It is somewhat unlikely, as it would pretty much require the Crew to win each of their remaining series on the season. However, this is the team that set its franchise mark with 14 straight wins.

Should the Brewers go 5-4 over their final three series, a lone loss by the Phils would give the Brewers home field for the NLDS and the NLCS.

6 - Speaking of tiebreakers: the Brewers also hold it over the Phillies, with their 4-2 record against Philadelphia. Thus, the magic number for the Brewers to clinch the number one seed in the NL is six.

...because of the extra win the Cubs had against Milwaukee head-to-head this season.
Any combination of four wins by the Brewers or four losses by the Cubs will give Milwaukee its fifth National League Central title since 2011.

4 - The real goal of the Brewers, of course, is to win the NL Central. The current magic number is 4 - which doesn't initially make sense, as the Brewers are six games up on the Cubs in the division at the moment. The reason for the extra game is...

Milwaukee posted the franchise's best record in 2011 with a 96-66 season (.593), and made it all the way to the NLCS. In 2018, the Brewers won their 96th game in game 163 to win the NL Central over Chicago; they went on to win six more games in the playoffs before losing in the NLCS to the Dodgers.

3 - The Brewers, of course, would prefer not to be hosting the NLWC (again), but they do have at least one doable goal ahead of them: win three more games and they would clinch having the best single-season record in franchise history.

0 - The chances that the Brewers will be opening the playoffs on the road. The Brewers have clinched no worse than the fourth seed (top Wild Card) in the NL, meaning they are going to be hosting whatever playoff series they first play in - whether it is the NL Wild Card or the NLDS.

At this pace, we're going to be challenging the White Sox's one-year-old record.

Does that include all the SpaceX equipment he's destroyed, or his Roadster that's orbiting between Mars and earth? Or does that include that guy who $h0t himself and blew up a Cybertruck at the same time?
