Empathy is not a sin. Sin is the failure to meet up to God's standards. Empathy is understanding the feelings, emotions, burdens, and cares of others. If we do not feel empathy, we're not living up to God's standard - the one we have of loving others as we love ourselves.

TIL Child Abuse is legally defined as any intentional infliction of injury upon a child, or placing a child in a situation where they could be injured or killed. I also found out that, as a mandated reporter (working for MPS), it's a misdemeanor for failure to report child neglect or physical abuse.

It was his only career All-Star Game. In one inning pitched, he allowed only one hit - to Pudge Rodriguez.

To be honest, I'm kinda relieved that the Kroger/Albertson's merger has been blocked for the time being. Bad enough there's too many vacant stores here in the Valley.
