You were right about the experience. It was my first and I'm not going to go crazy, but it was a genuinely spectacular experience. My little Seestar scope got some great pics (all automatic, didn't have to tend to it!).

@philplait.bsky.social I know some hardcore hobbyists are looking down on the new smart-scopes. But I had my 1st chance to use mine tonight & got this after just a few minutes of exposures in a Bortle 7 sky, no post-processing (learning that next). Mission accomplished, "toy" scope, I'm hooked.
