Lamar made few concessions to the sort of conservative NFL viewers who had criticized Kaepernick's 2016 protests. Further, Lamar included lines that could be interpreted as disses of Drake or Trump: "Once upon a time, all of us was in chains / … / Fast-forward, 2024, you got the same agenda.” 4/
