I love my city. It’s home. My family and friends are here and I care about it enough to fight to make it better. There are so many more just like me. And we’re fucking tired of being told we live in a god forsaken hellhole that no one in their right mind would want to live in.

Setting aside the problematic nature of calling the region of the country with the largest black population “uncivilized”—those living in large cities in the South have been dealing with a flood of right wing blue state refugees for years…

I know have essentially no followers on here so I am basically just screaming into the void but I do, in fact, have to have a small rant about this and similar sentiments I’ve seen this week.
