Does he test positive for psychic vibes or potential medium-ship? He'd be like a lighthouse for ghosts. He might not even know it. Happens all the time. I would double-check whatever story he gave you, too, in case he's not telling you the whole truth deliberately.

BUT, because there's always a BUT..... If HE'S the source of the spirit, or if he's somehow possessed by something? The problem is still gonna be there. Salt the relic, too, just to be safe while you figure it out. It COULD be a Wight. They like sleeping victims, especially if they're sick and weak.

Oh you'll have this sorted by the weekend, I imagine. I would say put a circle of salt around his bed and let him sleep it off. Not that your wards aren't fine. But depending on the nature of the haunting another spirit could slip though. But the salt WILL keep even subtle spirits out.

It's not LOUD.... But I hear it happening. It's also a rather slow process, for the sake of being careful. But this is also just the test patch. If I did this to my whole lawn, the sound would be slightly maddening in intensity.
But it didn't explode. So, that's positive. Gonna workshop this a bit.
