For me, Ancient Music Ireland playing the Loughnashade horns were the highlight of my night.

Theyre so loud!!! Keep Romans off your lawn with these baddies!

When thr kindest of ladies youve been staying with has left a hot water bottle in your bed on your return from the wilds of North Munster. And you have a mini teensy Xmas tree as a bedside lamp.
Felt like i was 8 again

What gets washed up from the flooded river which has its source in @hookland.bsky.social ? The sodden baby doll, tangled in the grasses and reeds. Not all versions of Moses in the bulrishes end happily...

When i was young, wild and had no joints held together with sellotape and elastic bands, I was fearless on horseback. I remember how it felt to confidently jump, to gallop ( crosscountry was my passion then ), heart flying as high as a hawk in a summer sky.

Hit the Belfast Xmas market for the first time today, came away with stroopwaffles, and gifties from Symphonia gin. Smells of roasting foods of all nations merged with vanilla and caramel odours.
As always its overpriced, tacky, gaudy, rowdy and somehow is rhe heart of the season in Belfast.

No wonder I feel like a welcome guest in Limerick.
Great-grandmother on da's side is a Fanning, and while the years took them to farmland in Urbalkirk in Monaghan, they are the original lot from Tipperary and Limerick. Including somewhere along the line, 1641s rebel mayor, Dominic himself.

Now you might think this is a home made Jammie Dodger. But the biscuit part of this isn't biscuit.
It's fudge.
