Southern Adirondacks by birth, Chicago by choice. Love them both. CPS parent, kickass project manager, and master gardener volunteer any minute I can squeeze in. No relation to that transphobe political commentator.
Awww enjoy! I have a tabby whose attention span for fetch consistently outlasted mine when she was a kitten. She’s 13 now and doesn’t do it as much, but she’ll still drop her fave pompom on my lap and headbutt me when she has the senior kitty level of zoomies.

The violence that caused his death is a direct product of his own life’s work. There is no “other side” to this. Also, his violent rhetoric was lazy and riddled with logical fallacies. That’s not debate or discourse. That you find it interesting is a “you” problem.

That’s because you clearly value order more than justice. His life’s work, no matter how “pleasantly” delivered, called for the dehumanization, subjugation, and elimination of marginalized human beings. People have acted on it. Are doing so right now. That’s violence.

Funny, the only time this expectation to “talk through differences” comes up is when something happens to a person who has devoted their waking hours to the dehumanization and destruction of “different” people. The merest whiff of accountability and here comes the respectability theater.

That’s (supposed to be) the Hancock building, less than a mile directly east around 6:50 PM CT. The wind is still whipping. This is pretty wild.

I think I started from a different point in up-thread. I’m not arguing anything inconsistent with this. We can do stuff on our own, and also engage our pandemic apocalypse team, and also scale to neighborhood/community. I grew up where that was required to get by.
