Currently reading Strong Female Character by Fern Brady and bloody hell it is good! Decided to read a couple of pages to see if I would get into it and ended up reading 45, hooked.

Gardening For Wives by Bill Simpson.
The back cover lays out the wifely things to grow.
The introduction is clear about the gardening hierarchy.
Worryingly, this book was published in 1967.

Just finished reading In My Time of Dying by Sebastian Junger. A strangely uplifting and simulateously unsettling book. We know so little, and yet the knowledge is there.
Thanks to @frechevillelibrary.bsky.social for the loan

A Christmas shopping trip to Wakefield yesterday. Came away with a vague understanding of the appeal of Warhammer and a woman whom I need to research to find out more about her. A good day.

Midnight has rediscovered her beanbag. It's been in plain sight for months but it is clearly only for use on snowy days.
Cats.

Currently reading Memorials by @richardchizmar.bsky.social
I knew I would get in to it straight away, and I have.
I can't quite put my finger on why, but this is bloody good so far.
Go on... try it

All but finished reading Night Side Of The River by Jeanette Winterson. Always happy to read a ghost story, even short ones. To me App-arition and Thin Air are the stand outs but they all got my brain whirring. Would recommend
