Currently reading Strong Female Character by Fern Brady and bloody hell it is good! Decided to read a couple of pages to see if I would get into it and ended up reading 45, hooked.

Gardening For Wives by Bill Simpson.
The back cover lays out the wifely things to grow.
The introduction is clear about the gardening hierarchy.
Worryingly, this book was published in 1967.

Just finished reading In My Time of Dying by Sebastian Junger. A strangely uplifting and simulateously unsettling book. We know so little, and yet the knowledge is there.
Thanks to @frechevillelibrary.bsky.social for the loan

Duolingo just told me how many mistakes I made this year. I feel like I need this information for all areas of my life, not just my feeble attempt at learning Welsh

A Christmas shopping trip to Wakefield yesterday. Came away with a vague understanding of the appeal of Warhammer and a woman whom I need to research to find out more about her. A good day.

Every time I open bluesky I feel like I have time travelled back to Twitter a few years ago. It's so hope filled and positive that it makes me momentarily forget how terrible everything is

🚨 This is not a drill. Melanated bookworms and bookish community, it's time to assemble. After nearly a year of being stalked and harassed to the point of fearing for her life, the owner of BlackLit based out of Farmers Branch, Texas is being forced to close her bookstore🧵 (1) #BlackBookSky #BookSky

Midnight has rediscovered her beanbag. It's been in plain sight for months but it is clearly only for use on snowy days.

Hello! I'm Sarah, an illustrator based in Edinburgh. I love a ghost story and like to draw spooky and atmospheric things, often inspired by books, TV and film, and by the Scottish landscape. I sell my work in my Etsy shop - prints, cards, and occasionally merchandise.

I knew I would get in to it straight away, and I have.
I can't quite put my finger on why, but this is bloody good so far.
Go on... try it
