I highly recommend this book that notes how people choose to be misinformed bc it’s what they want to believe, they want to choose the lie over the truth bc it fits who they are so to assume people will be different if they have all the facts is wanting them to change who they are and you can’t

I read this 2018 book to write about the economic geography of crypto a few years ago and i think maybe i could now write a follow up book on the economic geography of digital networked crime. Or someone else can… but it should be written.

This book is a wealth of good info of what the south was really like pre/ during the civil war. I would say the lawlessness is a the biggest indication of pre-social unrest.
