Applications for air quality permits confirm figures that Source NM previously reported: If approved, Project Jupiter could emit more than 14 million tons of greenhouse gases per year. By comparison, Albuquerque and Las Cruces emit a combined 6.7 million metric tons of greenhouse gases annually.
Data center Project Jupiter’s greenhouse gas emissions could rival NM’s largest cities • Source New Mexico
Project Jupiter's developers have asked the state for permission to emit as many greenhouse gases as the state's largest cities combined.

This is a lie bc more drilling requires more asset investment and the cost never goes down for ratepayers who have to make that investment for them… also, the volatility in the market creates speculative investment that may not be recouped with product sales that is also then placed on ratepayers.
VARNEY: The price of natural gas is way up there. Doesn't that contribute to inflation?

CHRIS WRIGHT: That's a short term move in gas prices. There will be more drilling, production will grow, and gas prices will go back down

For those following the news re: EU fining X for DSA violations, this thread explains that (despite how we may see the right and the U.S. gov frame things), it isn’t about “censorship” or even content moderation, but about X failing to follow laws about platform transparency and deception. A thread:
Don't let anyone tell you that the Commission's DSA enforcement against X is about speech or censorship.

That would, indeed, be interesting. But this is just the EU enforcing some normal, boring laws that would get bipartisan support in the U.S. (I bet similar bills *have* had that support.) 1/
