This is going to come off as lowbrow/uninformed but I watched a Netflix doc on the first high security prison in Nuuk and came away thinking 1) this place is unbelievably gorgeous and 2) the social issues there seem to have a lot more in common with Alaska than Denmark or the continental US

He’s actually a malamute and they can grow to about twice the weight of a husky. IIRC huskies are bred to race with sleds and malamutes are bred to haul sled cargo

Those improvements have saved many lives but as to “why?” I think the bosses realized that losing an eight or nine figure ship plus its cargo was not worth it for a few hours on the delivery schedule.
