Trump and the Republicans want those who can't afford to eat to go hungry so badly that they are stopping anyone who tries to help.

Attempting to be the worst in history.

"Let them eat cake!! No, actually scratch that. No cake either. They don't get to eat."

It's not just the AI sociopaths pushing the idea that we need data centers. The oil and gas industry desperately wants us to believe we need them and must power them with gas.

Cheniere is the biggest US LNG exporter. Their stock is also down year to date. And now they are facing at least five years of a global oversupply that will drive the whole US export business into selling at a loss.

Meanwhile, US LNG exporter Venture Global's stock is down about 65% this year and they owe around $45 billion and the company is worth $18 billion. Tough to get out of that spot.

Financial Times appears to be realizing that investing in the US oil and gas industry isn't a great idea.

So I wake up to read that Trump is threatening military action against Nigeria. Below is a list of 10 countries that notes 4 that have either being threatened by Trump or currently attacked. Can anyone guess what the numbers on the right represent?

The large oil and gas company Equinor lost money in the last quarter. Can you tell that from this headline?

The bias in the financial press is very strong and very obvious.

We have this.

"According to BloombergNEF’s...early EV adopters caused a saving of the first million barrels of oil per day back in 2018. Within six years, another million barrels of oil per day was displaced so that by 2024 the world had displaced two million barrels of oil per day."

But look.

"Super-warming methane gas is being tackled too slowly, UN says ahead of COP30" (Reuters)

Ya think?

"Woodside and Williams are taking on the role of commodity traders by acquiring all the feedgas from other US producers, basically paying themselves and a third partner to liquefy it, and then marketing that gas globally - largely to other gas producers and commodity traders"

I see Darren over at Exxon is talking about the oil industry again. Darren can be pretty silly. Today he says the world is facing an oil shortage. Remember when he said that oil demand was very strong and then months later laid off a couple thousand workers? Don't believe Darren.

From an article last week. Seems to be a theme.

“You get this sense of a change, where China’s competitiveness has gone from being about government subsidies and low wages to a tremendous number of highly skilled, educated engineers who are innovating like mad.”

It was just a week ago that MSNBC informed me the democrats were in trouble and the Republicans were sitting pretty in shutdown land.

I imagine it is a lot easier to be the political party that has the media push its messaging constantly.

Don't believe what they say about oil and gas either.

I like that this oil industry trade publication can no longer ignore the obvious but also uses a pun.

Anyway, going to be a bad year for your oil investments.

If you needed more evidence we are in the "this time it's different" phase of the bubble.

"Bubble good!! Bubble friend!! Bubble never pop!!"

Protip: This time is not different.

Lots of spending, not much revenue.

Remember this piece in the Harvard Business Review?

Perhaps they can use their world-leading business school acumen to do an analysis about how they could publish something so wrong?

The US secretary of energy says the following.

“We will double the natural gas exports from where they are today in the next four or five years,” Wright said in Italy. LNG, he noted, is “the fastest growing source of energy on the planet.”

Who wants to tell this MIT-educated man?

Happy Sun Day! Here is a photo of the sun setting over Exxon’s Golden Pass LNG industry. Some would argue the sun is setting on the LNG industry as a whole because they can’t compete with solar.
