I can not get over how well Noah Hawley and his team have been able to capture the look and feel of the ALIEN universe (especially in scenes set on the Maginot).

The three of us decided to pop on to record a “quick” review of SUPERMAN — shooting for 30-60 min (if you listen to the regular show, you know that’s short for us). Ended up talking for an hour and a half (!) and I still somehow forgot to mention the social media rage monkeys.
Surprise! We all had a chance to check out the new SUPERMAN movie this weekend, and now we’re sharing our thoughts!

I simply do not understand the hype behind Gunther -or- Jey Uso.
Gunther is a good technical wrestler but he’s boring as hell and Uso is one note — in the ring and on the mic. Yeah, he’s got a fun entrance but what else?

I thought our David Lynch series on Cinema Shock was my favorite thing we’ve ever done, but this Jim Henson series (which is almost over! 😢) might take the cake now. Incredibly proud of the work we’ve done on this series and I’m gonna miss talking about Henson when we’re done.
This week, we’re continuing to tell the story of the life and career of Jim Henson, with a deep dive into the making of his beloved fantasy film LABYRINTH starring Jennifer Connelly and the great David Bowie.

I started a TikTok account for @cinemashock.bsky.social a couple of weeks ago and it’s really made it clear to me how drastically different content is treated there vs Instagram/Meta. This was never a secret, but it’s sort of insane how Meta suppresses content in the hopes of monetizing it.
