some so-called movies are just meandering collections of disjointed scenes, with actors sleepwalking across from their green screen colleagues while the illusion of “stakes” attempts to convince you to care. i’m unconvinced. filth, slop, anti-art, even anti-fun. it’s embarrassing.

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again: Whoopi Goldberg should be the biggest movie star in the world. i know she was very successful, but somehow it’s just not enough. when young boys and girls want to become actors when they grow up, they should look at her work.

first-time watch and holy shit… i don’t think i’ve ever seen a movie that hates women this much lol. terrible! and worst of all it also has Chris Pratt in it! Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson are perfect angels though so i won’t hold it against them, i hope they both live forever.

i think Dylan O’Brien is fantastic in this but i was not in love with it like so many people seem to be. it’s just very… adequate. the ending is roughh and Sweeney really can’t sell it. a criminal underuse of Very Good Actress Aisling Franciosi. a solid 6/10 for me, maybe 5.5.

closed out Halloween season with these two bangers. i love a hospital horror setting and even though II isn’t my favorite sequel, it totally delivers. III is a cool as hell diversion from Michael, and the scene of the kid and his parents being killed by the song… terrifying!

i like this one the least out of the Apocalypse Trilogy, but fuckk i still love it. Sam Neill doesn’t get enough credit as one of our Weirdest Actors and this movie fits him like a glove. some sequences give me distinctly Italian Horror vibes and the whole thing is a delirium, A+
