I like that, I'll give it a shot, thanks!

100x1, but hoping to start getting more mileage out of my games and thinning the collection.

I don't think complexity is inherently fun, but it can create both a puzzle and an ego shield. I enjoy figuring out how to make the game do what I want—separate from playing well or winning. And if I lose while learning, it stings less. Agreed it's not sophistication or depth though.

For us it didn't feel as "scarce" as Everdell. Not saying that's bad, just different. In the same kind of way that Caverna feels compared to Agricola. We haven't played much of the campaign yet, but we're hoping to get back to it soon!

Nothing wrong with that! As much as I like big complex games, the simple games are usually the ones that we actually get to the table.

Oh, and more on the party side:
- QE
- Decrypto
- A Fake Artist Goes to New York

Big / complex games:
- Oath
- Eclipse
- Terra Mystica

More accessible games:
- Jump Drive
- Three Sisters
- Castles of Burgundy

This is really inspiring. Thanks for sharing.

Genoa (or Traders of Genoa as it was at the time) for sure. There was a magic of playing that with friends when we were young and making ridiculous trades because we didn't have any idea what things should be worth. I think that's part of why I like QE so much now.

Great list, thanks for the detailed responses! I've played about half of these (RIP Netrunner), but it gives me some more to check out!

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant the ones that have hit 20 in trying to reach your H-index goal. I ask because I've found some games get better the more I play them (Terra Mystica is the first to come to mind) while others seem great at first and then the novelty wears off.

Of the games you've played trying to get there so far, which ones are your favorites?

I've only played Acquire a couple of times, but it was fun. I need to try it again.

Highlight from last week for me was teaching Spirit Island to some new players and we absolutely crushed it.

Oh yeah, it lived in my head for a while after we finished that game. I've been trying to get it back to the table since then.

For me this past week - MegaCity: Oceania, Duel for Middle Earth, Three Sisters, Spirit Island, and QE. All in person.

Perfect, thank you!

Which team do you assign them to? I haven't been putting in roles, so I'll probably start, but I've been making them a third team and I'm not entirely happy with it.
