I still can't find anything on whether this is possible through executive order at all, or even what he said about Canadian certification of Gulfstreams is true or not.

IIRC he's been vocally supportive of trans issues and has done videos that are like very positive on John Brown and stuff, so I'm not sure how much of a bell weather he is.

The rapid collapse of the Catholic/Protestant divide in Canada is deeply understudied imo. All that remains is the physical infrastructure from something that was so pervasive.

There is a big plan to fix those transmission problems being pushed, let's hope that the MPO opts for it and shepherds it.

Especially since it's a quota of a number of cars, which inherently incentivizes margin over pure number of sales.

It goes back to what models they actually try to bring over, and what I bet what ends up being sold are like the mid-higher tier of models, probably largely crossovers that end up like 5-7k cheaper than the currently available equivalents.

The BYD Seagull sells for like the equivalent of $17.5k USD in Mexico which is probably instructive compared to the like 10k equivalent in China, and that's for a model that I don't think would meet Canadian safety standards.

Yeah we'll see what actually can get certified here and the pricing without the race to the bottom dynamic that the price war in China is having on their models.

There's usually been more demand for smaller cars in Canada than in the US though.
