I have covered presidential politics for 40 years. This was the most juvenile display by a President and Vice President I have ever seen. Other presidents treated their enemies with more respect. This is a low point and a dark day for the US. Totally embarrassing.

It’s too late for tens of thousands of Palestinian and Yemeni people, who have been murdered with weapons and components exported from the UK. This has to be a wake-up call and lead to systemic change in our arms-export licensing system.

USAID needed reforms and this is exactly the point: reforms require hard work. It is easier to destroy than to work to improve the only U.S. government's lead provider of nonmilitary foreign aid.
