I could agree with everything before, cuz it's pretty interesting thoughts, but can't agree in scene with Cait. For me it looked like he came mostly to boast cuz he doesn't pay much attention to her investigation and rapidly change the topic on him becoming a council.

he’s thoughtful of Cait too. first thing he does after his new position at the Council, he invites her with only good intentions, because she was hurt and her mother did everything so she wouldn’t work again. Jayce is actually worried sick about everyone around him and it’s heartbreaking
