Though tantamount to liberty, the Constitution is not a living breathing entity, but a set of values and principles to be upheld.
That being said, defending the Constitution is upholding it's values, and in that I uphold my oath until the day a more formal duty calls.

An opinion I pretty firmly hold is that everyone should make a song, paint a painting, act in something, and write a book even if all of those things end up being objectively terrible
