New paper out 🥳 If you care about data management in geosciences - or believe in #OpenScience and #FAIRdata - this is a must-read. Although the Nansen Legacy project was a marine science project, the practices we discuss are broadly applicable across the geosciences.

Suganuma et al provide a thorough examination of the Holocene collapse of the Lützow-Holm Bay ice shelf in Antarctica. They pinpoint when the collapse happened by investigating the beryllium isotopes. When the bay became open ocean, cosmogenic ¹⁰Be could reach the sediments. doi.org/10.1038/s415...

Ajankuvaa on se että Itäkeskukseen Stockmannin tilalle tulee Budget Sport, ja Kaisaniemeen Rosebud-kirjakaupan tilalle Rusta. Laatu ja kulttuuri ei myy, halpa ja bulkki myy (katsokaa vaikka sitä miten paljon Temu:sta juuri Suomeen tilataan). Samaan aikaan pitäisi tehdä kestävyyssiirtymää.
