One of the best things about Highlander (1986) is its transitions, which are overlaid on other images and scenes. Thankfully, they are not the ugly Star Wars type of transitions.

When I rewatched Heat a couple of years ago I was very invested in Kilmer’s and Judd’s storyline. The scene where Charlene beckons for Chris to leave with a motion of her hand under the watchful glare of the cops is so good. And “For me the sun rises and sets with her, man” is a hall of fame line.
