@juniper.camp
We're Trey (https://body.social/@trey) and Kristina (https://body.social/@kristina). We're creating safe spaces for naturism on the Internet. Pleasure to meet you. Read more at https://juniper.camp.
We're happy to announce that we have our first moderator. @ournaturistlife.bsky.social has joined us to moderate "This Week in Naturism" and "Now in Naturism". This brings us closer to around-the-clock moderation to keep our feeds focused on our goal of non-sexual naturism.

Hey #Naturists, you'll notice that the moderation on "This Week in Naturism" and "Now in Naturism" is a little stricter than others. We want these feeds to be something you share with a friends or family to give them an idea of non-sexual naturism.

This the second large outage from Skyfeed. We’re evaluating options to move away from their platform to our own hosted feeds to ensure we have the best uptime possible for “This Week in Naturism” and “Now in Naturism”. Sorry about the downtime, folks.

We're continually working to keep a curated feed of ethical naturist and nudist content available through "Now in Naturism" (bsky.app/profile/did:...), and "This Week in Naturism" (bsky.app/profile/did:...). If you have suggestions or feedback, please send us a DM to help improve these feeds!

If there's ever a post you feel shouldn't be in our feeds, "This Week in Naturism" and "Now in Naturism". Please feel free to send me a direct message about it. I'm not guaranteeing it'll be removed, but we can discuss it. DMs are the closest thing we have to moderation tools for feeds right now.

Accounts that contain a series of random photos of naked women doing normal things will be excluded from the feeds we run: This Week in Naturism and Now in Naturism. We don’t want the feed to become cluttered with aggregation accounts of content from questionable origins.

We've adjusted the algorithm a tad for the two naturism feeds we run, This Week in Naturism bsky.app/profile/did:... and Now in Naturism bsky.app/profile/did:.... Both now expand beyond keyword matches to find interesting posts from people related to naturism. That should keep content flowing.

This is how Bluesky's chosen labeling service is failing the naturism community. I ran a recent picture from @truebluenude.bsky.social through Hive AI. It's clearly a non-sexual naked photograph of women to us, but the labeling service is marking it for sexual intent and sexual activity.

I tweaked the algorithm behind This Week in Naturism a bit to keep content a little more fresh. Posts with a lot of activity will show up higher in the list.

As you've probably noticed, SkyFeed is having trouble today, which is what powers "Now in Naturism" and "This Week in Naturism".

While we know that the team at SkyFeed will sort the issue out, this has us considering running our own infrastructure to provide better resiliency for our feeds.

Hey, folks! We've created a new feed for those of us that just want the best of the best for the last week of #naturism posts. We'll continue to actively moderate posts and iterate on the way the feed works. If you have suggestions, let us know.

Check it out! bsky.app/profile/did:...
