Same for Tina Smith/Mike Lee. He was taken aback that she actually talked to him face-to-face instead of going to give a treatise on the floor that could be smugly ignored from a distance. Smith reminded Lee that she’s an actual human. This never happens for “comity” or some other dumb reason.

@governorwalz.mn.gov was right all along. This dude is WEIRD. A true believer can wave away DOGE meddling as “cutting waste” or pwning libz. This stuff is just too creepy to be ignored. He cyber stalked and DM’d women, sincerely asking them to have his babies and followed up with cash and NDAs. WTF

In nearly a month since this insanity, has a single Dem objected to UC? Put aside that some Dems are providing voted FOR the administration, has anyone required a minute of actual debate other than Booker’s 25hr filibuster?

“Expression can be useless or productive or counterproductive, but it’s a huge part of politics. No one wages a battle for public opinion without putting thought and resources into expressing something.” Form = Substance in modern politics. That Schumer seems totally blind to this is unfathomable.

In addition to being relevant NOW, has the benefit of seed planting before people draw their own conclusions — including as a result of your inaction. “Hmmm, this seems terrible but I’m not really being told it’s terrible except by the local news I don’t watch. Whatever, back to doomscrolling IG”

How effective is an ad in 15 months going to be? “Remember that bad thing happened that you heard about at the time. Let my ad try to connect the dots for you, if you remember.” To that end, why not run some of these ads on Twitter? Sure, you don’t want to help Elon, but why not go to the source.

Wanna bet what will happen if some 20 year old watches his entire net worth evaporate while simultaneously having access to the entire US payment system?

Historically, anyone applying to work in government has to make all kinds of financial disclosures. These clowns haven’t done that and, even if they did, could easily hide these assets given the way crypto works. Plus some air cover as the DoJ has abandoned all enforcement against crypto schemes.
