Yes, please. "European leaders are discussing whether to retaliate against the U.S. using the EU’S Anti-Coercion Instrument, nicknamed “the Bazooka,” which can restrict imports and exports to any country trying to coerce an EU member and can limit U.S. investment there." - Heather Cox Richardson

We should stop thinking that Repubs in Congress are "too afraid of Trump" to stop him. I suspect they fully support what he's trying to do, and they should be viewed in that light and held equally responsible.

Important: Minneapolis killing should lead Dems to draw a much harder line against *any* ICE funding in budget talks, Swalwell/Goldman agree.

"I am not going to pay masked thugs to shoot moms in the face. Period," Swalwell says.

A Dem House should be for defunding.

7 Democrats just voted today to confirm a Trump judicial nominee who refused to say what happened on January 6 or answer who won the 2020 election:

Durbin
Hassan
Kaine
King
Klobuchar
Shaheen
Welch

Probably goes without saying, but I'm not interested in having my taxes used to pay Greenlanders for anything.

"officials leaked one of the administration’s most reckless schemes yet: paying Greenland residents between $10,000 and $100,000 each if they support secession from Denmark." MeidasTouch

Infuriating. With regard to the administration not releasing full Epstein files: "...joint statement by ranking members Robert Garcia and Jamie Raskin. They wrote, ‘We are now examining all legal options in the face of this violation of fed law." Why weren't they ready already to take action?

Seems a simple fix: Move those agencies to the legislative branch.

Trump's plan now, of course, is to get Vance elected in 2028 so the guy can pardon Trump for everything.

Abolish the electoral college now!

Um...that's the opposite of the very definition of inflation.

Just my periodic reminder that we need to ABOLISH THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE!
November 25, 2025 at 2:13 PM
If we'd ever get around to doing away with the electoral college, we could toss all this gerrymandering foolishness.

"Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked several questions about [Trump's birthday letter to Epstein]...at her press briefing...[and replied] “The president did not write this letter. He did not sign this letter.”

Ok, technically not a lie. He wasn't President at that time.

Can you imagine a remake of "Gone with the Wind" that accurately reflects the reality of the lives of the slaves while still telling the story of the main characters, but from an enlightened point of view?

I've begun to believe that proclaiming Trump followers as stupid is throwing a blanket over actual fascists. What if they're not stupid? What if they really understand and mean what they say. What if they really ARE fascists? Would our thoughts and responses change if we thought that?

This is NOT what I paid taxes for.

Trump: “You have 200 countries—more. People don't know that. [Dear Prez, I do. Didn't you?] You have a lot of countries. I don't want to sit down with 200 people. So we’re going to be setting a tariff for the rest of the world. You can’t make 200 separate deals.”

Yes, you can. That's your job.

The way that I was raised, being Jewish meant believing that every human life was sacred; to save a single human life meant saving all of humanity. That no law or ritual was more important than saving a single human life.

It's unfathomable that any Jew can accept what Israel is doing in Gaza.
