All it took for mine was to watch Staged for him to completely understand. It's now our main "comfort show for background noise".

When we first watched Underworld, we were probably halfway through until he was like "wait a minute... ohhhh, okay. Okay, I get it." And that's when he came to understand the Michael Sheen 'thing'.
