Queer nerd who plays D&D and tells jokes for money sometimes. Dumber than a box of rocks.
It's anecdotal but I'm friends with multiple accountants and three of them were just laid off in the last month. The businesses are different industries completely but this seems like a growing trend.

It's never a good sign when you're firing the people who count your money.

Watching Obama come out and complain only after tariffs have taken effect is just so telling. He was fine watching them destroy the world over COVID mismanagement, stage a coup, enact fascism, but messing with global financial hegemony? Now there's a problem!

And yet he still influenced his party and public opinion in his favor until then. Democrats could learn a thing or two about leading from a position of weakness.

Worth noting that losing this badly didn't stop Trump last election.

It's like Democrats are completely incapable of actual leadership and are only interested in the appearance of it.

Look at Trump. Did losing deter him? Did it stop him from flexing his political muscle? Did he allow it to stop him from influencing his party?

Well then why the fuck can't a Democrat do the same thing?

Abdicating her position of leadership just because it's hard kinda vindicates the people who didn't believe in her during the election too. Democrats need to have leaders with a fucking spine, not someone who's just looking to cash in on a role.

Don't get me wrong, I voted for her, but just cuz you lose a popularity contest doesn't mean there's no leadership roles to fulfill. We need leadership MORE now, not less.

I find it very telling that she was willing to do the easier part of the job, and not the harder part: leading from loss.
